Day 5 - First Major Mistake

Solid nap, I got a bit distracted before going to sleep but in the end got asleep quite fast. I'm not really tired, but I think that my thought processes are finally starting to take a hit because of all the sleep deprivation.

I've had REM on second and third naps so far, so I'm starting to expect one in next couple of naps. Hopefully without the help of oversleeps.

Alright 4 am. now and I finally start to feel a little tired. I've been just watching Simpsons the whole time, you know passively watching, which was my demise in last attempt. I would always get tired for not doing anything but watching something and end up either falling asleep or having those nodding microsleeps.

I did the typing tests hour later than usual and it might be that that showed or then again, I might've been off anyway. I made lots of errors and it took off my pace significantly in both tests. Still I'm typing pretty fast though.

Okay, according to this I woke up normally, but my logs end 6 am and after that I went down for a four hour oversleep.

Day 5.3

That seems like a sort of mark of failure again. I have zero recollection about what has happened, but my computer was on stand-by mode and I haven't put my computer on it for weeks. There's only three days Uberman attempt left.

It's kind of hard when you don't know what went wrong. I mean why my clock was waking me up just when it was? I don't remember putting it on. But apparently I've woken up from my nap at 6 am. but for some reason went back to sleep almost instantly. I mean that's the worst, the judgement clouding after some point of sleep dep. No reason to keep dwelling on this though. I'll just try to continue as if nothing happened.

Everything has changed. It was easy just 8 hours ago. Now I'm frustrated at oversleeping while still being very tired. But what can I do? My brain tricked me to sleeping. I remember now that I had some rationalization for sleeping. I don't remember what it was, but I remember that there was such. I could write more, but I'd just be repeating myself, so I'll just shut up.

You have to wonder if this would be this easy without the morning oversleep. I enjoy being almost fully functional though.

I'm not tired, and I'm basicly functioning well at the moment, but there's something weird in my brain processes at the moment. I've been watching the Simpsons and writing short reviews after the episodes and I've noticed that right after I've watched the episode, I don't remember details very well and usually have to skim along the episode to recollect how the episode exactly went. Memory overall seems to function differently.

That oversleep really kickstarted my REM cycles, I have to say. Three REM-naps in a row and what's best, I actually woke up like minute before alarm. At the moment I'm really enjoying myself and I'm expecting this to continue at least until next morning. The 5 am. - 10 am. is probably the most critical area for my success at the moment, I really have to gather all of my willpower there.
